Specialty gases are largely demanded in various industrial branches. Linde produces and delivers a complete assortment of special gases employed in technologies providing for e.g. the reduction of unwanted emissions, detection and measuring of the pollution of soil, water and air, or for the improvement of working environment. Specialty gases are also a key part in the production of means for wireless communication, mobile phones, microprocessors, chips or optical fibres.
Calibration gases are high precision mixtures of gases, intended for the research, development, quality control or monitoring of environment. The gravimetric methods of preparation assure that these gaseous mixtures are produced with the maximum precision.
Calibration gases may be delivered in compliance with various international standards.
High purity gases
Requirements for the purity of delivered gases are permanently increasing. The most pure gases we are able to deliver nowadays meet already a purity of 9.0 (99,9999999 volume %). By using new developed finishing methods the level of impurities has been reduced to ppt values (parts per trillion = a billionth part).
Gases for electrical engineering
Linde has own production, finishing devices and indispensable analytical harness for the preparation of reactive gases for micro electronics, namely up to a cleanliness of 6.0 (99,9999 obj.%).
The use of high purity gases or precision calibration mixtures impose severe requirements on the quality of fittings and entire gas distribution . Linde is able to provide all necessary fittings starting from a reduction valve up to a complete gas distribution network that helps to keep the high quality of the gas, from the source up to the place of consumption.
